20 Time

Today for 20 Time, Madison and I made sugar cookies and brought them in for the class. They turned out pretty good. We didn’t really run into any obstacles this week since we decided to take turns baking the cookies and bringing them in. Next week, we decided to bake peanut butter cookies for the class and bring them in.

Sugar Cookies
1 cup and 2 tablespoons butter, softened
1-1/2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt

20 Time

Today for 20 Time, Madison and I made chocolate chip cookies from a recipe that we found online. In class, we passed them out and everyone had great feedback. We then looked for our recipe for next week and took pictures of our cookies to show our progress. So far, I have learned about different types of cookies and their recipes and secret ingredients that make a big difference in baking. The roadblock that we dealt with was time. Both of us are busy, so we are going to take turn making the cookies. Next week, we will make sugar cookies and pass them out again.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
 1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup and 2 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 cup and 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
1/4 cup and 1 teaspoon white sugar
1 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
 2-1/4 eggs
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 2-1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

20 Time

This week for 20 Time, Madison and I changed our idea of making a video because we figured out that it was going to be a lot more difficult than we had originally thought because of the teachers' tight schedule and limited availability. We decided instead to make cookies every Tuesday night and bring them in to share with the class every Wednesday. We will them take pictures of the cookies and make a recipe book with the recipes we use and the pictures we take.
