20 Time
Today, I was not able to continue on with my 20 Time because I, once again, forgot to make cookies last night to bring in. I keep looking up recipes and tips for better cookies but never get to use them because I always forget to make them, or do not have the time to, between school and soccer. This is definitely been my biggest and only obstacle. Next week (HOPEFULLY), I will bring in peanut butter cookies to share with the class!

20 Time
1. Sadly, I haven't really made much progress in the last couple of weeks. I have been so busy and distracted between school and soccer that I have consistently forgot to buy ingredients and make cookies. I have, however, looked up recipes that I want to use hopefully next week.
2. I've faced the obstacle of time. I just don't have enough of it. I haven't done a lot to overcome it because I still have to figure out a way how. I've also been very forgetful.
3. I have learned that I need to manage my time better and try my hardest to remember things more efficiently. I've also learned that there are so many cookies recipes and different ways to make good cookies, which makes it hard to choose just one.
4. Next, I will hopefully pick out more recipes and make cookies for everyone next Wednesday.

20 Time
My 20 Time project is to make and bring in cookies every Wednesday. At the end of the trimester, I will add to the recipe book I made last trimester. My mentor is Mr. Smith. This week, I was sick so I wasn’t able to make cookies, but I found a peanut butter cookie recipe that I will use when we get back from spring break. This was an obstacle I encountered.

20 Time
Today for 20 Time, Madison and I started putting our recipe book together for our final product. We took the recipes that we have used and put a border on the page, changed the font, and added pictures of the cookies we have made to make it look like a real recipe book. Next week, we will print our pages and bind it for our final product. Along the way, I've learned that baking cookies isn't necessarily hard, but it takes more time and effort than you would think. I also learned that Madison and I are horrible at finding time to meet up and do our project, one of our biggest road blocks in our process. I mainly worked on our cover page today while Madison put together the rest of the pages.

Dig The Data

I think that my results came out the way they did for multiple reasons. I think that overall, people like homecoming more because it's in warmer weather. I also think that more people attend football games than basketball games. I think that our season record also affected people's liking for homecoTming. In the future, I'm interested to see how these two events evolve and compete with each other.

20 Time
Today for 20 Time, Madison and I ran into a roadblock. It was Madison's turn to make the cookies since I had made them the last two weeks in a row. Well, Madison went home sick yesterday and totally forgot to make the cookies so we were unable to share them with the class and get feedback. Since we didn't get to make the cookies we were going to make this week, we decided that Madison will make those cookies next Tuesday and bring them in on Wednesday to share with the class. So far, this has been our only major roadblock and we learned that we should communicate better to prevent this from happening again. So, next, we will make Oatmeal Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Name Project

Peanut Butter Cookies
1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened to room
temperature*
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour
Today for 20 Time, Madison and I used the cookie recipe above to make peanut butter cookies. They turned out alright, but were not as good as we had hoped because I had to use natural peanut butter instead of regular. I have learned that I know a lot more about baking than I thought, and that I am very impatient. The only roadblock we've run into is time. We overcame it by taking turns making the cookies. Next week, we will be making oatmeal butterscotch with chocolate chips.

20 Time
Today for 20 Time, Madison and I made chocolate chip cookies from a recipe that we found online. In class, we passed them out and everyone had great feedback. We then looked for our recipe for next week and took pictures of our cookies to show our progress. So far, I have learned about different types of cookies and their recipes and secret ingredients that make a big difference in baking. The roadblock that we dealt with was time. Both of us are busy, so we are going to take turn making the cookies. Next week, we will make sugar cookies and pass them out again.

20 Time
This week for 20 Time, Madison and I changed our idea of making a video because we figured out that it was going to be a lot more difficult than we had originally thought because of the teachers' tight schedule and limited availability. We decided instead to make cookies every Tuesday night and bring them in to share with the class every Wednesday. We will them take pictures of the cookies and make a recipe book with the recipes we use and the pictures we take.
